Sparrow Lane has been a dream of mine for over 3 years now... after daydreaming for many hours about building my own wedding venue, slowly I began to realize that it could be more than just a dream. I have always had a passion for bringing people together to celebrate occasions: big or small I believe life is worth celebrating as much as possible. I'm a birthday month kind of gal and will always find a reason to throw an event!
I am emotional as I write this thinking about our own wedding and the love that was shared on that day. We have cried and laughed many times through pursuing this dream and I could not have done it without my amazing husband Tanner, and parents by my side. I truly can't wait to see the magic made here at Sparrow Lane and meet all of your beautiful faces.

TANNER ASLIN
Jack of all trades, depending on the day Tanner can be found mowing the lawn, watering the trees, and keeping our landscaping looking pristine. He is typically behind the scenes on the day of an event ensuring everything is in tip top shape and where it needs to be. Setting up tables and chairs and taking down at the end of the night, there are many different areas of the business Tanner is involved in. Including building and maintaining all of our beautiful custom tables alongside Lorne as well as creating many of our outdoor landscape features. Coming from a background of cattle and grain farming on his family farm, he applies his hard work ethic and many different skillsets to Sparrow Lane.
MARISSA ASLIN
Visionary, dreamer, and never backs down from a challenge. Marissa is hands-on every step of the way to bring your event dreams to life. With her passion for celebrations, she is involved in many different areas of the businesses but focuses on Customer Relations and doing whatever needs to be done. Depending on the day this could be lawn care, building maintenance, day-of- event set-up and takedown, or any number of other things! As a people lover her favourite part is always meeting couples, getting to know each and every one of you and hearing your stories. Focused on building a community, long-term relationships are a top priority for her.

LORNE & KARI
LORNE GEHLERT
Always ready to jump in if needed, Lorne is working behind the scenes on building maintenance, outdoor maintenance, and overall keeping things running smoothly. Dairy farmer by day, carpenter, electrician, mechanic by night. You'll see one of Lorne's many skillsets found in our beautiful custom tables inside our space. He loves a great excuse to fire up a power tool and is an essential part of the Sparrow Lane Team.
On event days he can be found offering support moving tables, chairs, or anything else that needs done.
KARI GEHLERT
Entrepreneur for many years with her own sign language business as well as working alongside Lorne on their dairy, Kari is an expert in almost every area. She shines in business systems and finance as well as customer relations and is vital to keeping things running smoothly. Kari works on the business behind the scenes and also provides event support such as set-up and take-down. She currently runs children's programs at her church and is passionate about community and supporting local.
TYLER
Tyler brings many different strengths into his role as Manager for Sparrow Lane. With a background in photography and design, and eye for detail, combined with his love for customer service, along with so many other skillsets- Tyler is our go-to guy who you will likely see on-site for your event, ensuring everything is going smoothly!
MANAGER
MEGAN, WPIC
Megan is our Wedding Coordinating Lead. She looks after many different areas such as showing couples and clients around our space, day of event support, and coordination. Her background in photography is a huge asset to our team along with her communication and organizational skills. She loves love and being a part of such special moments. Creative and quick on her feet, Megan continues to play a key role in the Sparrow Lane team.
MADDIE, WPIC

Maddie has always had a passion and love for weddings. It was a lifelong dream for her to help plan a couple's special day, so when the opportunity came, she was thrilled to join the team at Sparrow Lane!
Her favourite part of the wedding day is the moment right before the bride walks down the aisle with her friends and loved ones. There is such a calmness and exciting energy that is hard to describe. Usually, a few last words are exchanged between the bride and the person walking her down the aisle, making it a precious moment to witness.
When she isn't at Sparrow Lane, you can find Maddie spending time with her husband and two young children, either gardening or heading out of town on a fun camping adventure!
SOPHIE, WPIC
Sophie has a rich background in fostering meaningful connections and orchestrating unforgettable experiences, bringing a wealth of expertise to every celebration. She brings a unique mix of meticulous planning and creative flair to every celebration. Her passion for delivering excellence ensures that each wedding is a seamless, unforgettable experience tailored to reflect the individual love stories of our couples. Sophie especially enjoys the genuine moments of love and commitment exchanged during the vows, making each wedding uniquely meaningful.

Caroline has always had a love and passion for all things weddings & events. Having helped plan many family events and weddings, she knows the importance of every small detail and is willing to go the extra mile to make these special moments come to life. If she had to pick a favourite moment of the wedding day it would be too difficult, however the couples Grand Entrance and the couple’s first dance is definitely at the top of the list.
KELLY
Kelly loves being a part of special moments and bringing people together to celebrate love. Her favourite part of a wedding is the speeches, and learning about the families histories together. Every love story is unique and one of her favourite things is hearing all about yours.
She truly enjoys being a mama to her son and daughter, getting together with family and close friends, as well as travelling!

Angela brings years of design experience to the Sparrow Lane Team. She is our in-house Planning and Design Lead and alongside her team works with our couples to execute on producing a beautiful event experience from start to finish. With her background in planning and design, she is everything you didn't know you needed for your wedding day! Incredibly talented, Angela helps create your day to be uniquely you, in a curated way that creates memories to last a lifetime.

Founded by two couples - Tanner + Marissa and Kari + Lorne. We believe in love that lasts a lifetime and we want to be part of yours. The venue is located on a piece of land that has been in our family for over 65 years and was the first land my grandparents bought when they got married.
For that reason it is special in our hearts and we hope it will be for you as well. We each bring a special part to Sparrow Lane and have come together to create a space we believe will be perfect for you - lifetime lovers.
